The Center offers Assessment Services at two locations, the Lakeshore Treatment Center in Downtown Duluth's Torrey Building and the Phoenix Treatment Center at 40 11th Street in Cloquet. These services offer assistance to adults or adolescents experiencing problems associated with use of chemicals.

Offered is a Multi-dimensional Assessment with Diagnostic Impression. This is based on accepted (Minnesota DHS) Rule 25 and DSMIV criteria and conducted by a Licensed Counselor. Included are recommendations as to type and level of any care needed.

Involved is a single session of one to two hours' duration. Typically, this includes both interview and testing. Collateral phone interviews also are conducted to provide additional perspective.

Appointments should be scheduled in advance. Parents or guardians are asked to accompany adolescents.
