The Center for Alcohol & Drug Treatment owns and operates two licensed halfway houses - Marty Mann House for women, and Howard Friese House for men. The
houses are
located on separate sites in the East Hillside neighborhood of Duluth, Minnesota.
The houses offer chemically dependent men and women a carefully planned program of challenges and growth experiences the
goal of which is a lasting, satisfying recovery. We continue the work begun during the resident's previous treatment experiences - building on that foundation, reviewing work that might have been missed, and moving toward a new level of understanding and commitment.
Marty Mann has a capacity of 12 women, ages 16 and over. Howard Friese can serve 14 men, ages 18 and over. Our residents are
usually referred by a primary treatment center, and originate from all over Minnesota and the United States. There is of ten
a waiting list at both houses, so we advise an early call if placement in one of our houses is desired. Residents are screened for appropriateness and admitted as space permits. Please click on the links below for more information.
